Ingredients

  • 1 ripe peach (peeled, pitted, and chopped)
  • 1 ripe banana (peeled and sliced)
  • A splash of breast milk, formula, or water to thin the puree

Instructions

  • If your peach has a tough or fuzzy skin, it’s best to remove it for young babies.
  • Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Score a small “X” in the bottom of the peach with a knife.
  • Place the peach in the boiling water for 30–60 seconds.
  • Transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water.
  • Once cool, peel the skin off — it should slide off easily!
  • Once peeled, remove the pit and chop the peach into small pieces.
  • Peel and slice the banana.
  • If desired, steam or simmer the peach chunks for 5 minutes to soften further
  • Add the peach and banana to a blender or baby food processor.
  • Puree until smooth and creamy. Add liquid if needed for desired consistency.
  • Let the mixture cool to room temperature before serving.
