This naturally sweet Pineapple Purée is a refreshing baby food packed with vitamin C, hydration, and tropical flavor. Pineapple can be served as a smooth purée, mixed into yogurt or oatmeal, or offered in safe pieces for baby-led weaning (BLW).

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh ripe pineapple chunks
  • 3 tbsp water, breast milk, formula, or coconut water (optional for blending)
  • banana, optional
  • yogurt, optional
  • oatmeal, optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Pineapple
    Wash, peel, and core the pineapple thoroughly.
    Cut into small chunks.
  • Steam (Optional)
    For younger babies or a softer texture:
    steam pineapple for 3–5 minutes
    This can reduce acidity slightly and soften fibers.
  • Blend
    Place pineapple into a blender or food processor.
    Blend until smooth.
    Add liquid as needed for desired consistency.
  • Serve
    Serve immediately or chill before serving.
